About AttendPad
AttendPad was built by an independent developer who saw event organizers, teachers, and community managers still passing around paper clipboards and typing names into spreadsheets afterward. There had to be a better way.
The idea was simple: create a QR code, share it, and watch attendance come in live. No app downloads for attendees, no complex setup, no monthly fees just to get started. Since then, AttendPad has grown into a full attendance platform with one-off event sheets, daily room check-ins, kiosk mode, and real-time analytics.
Privacy is a core principle, not an afterthought. Every piece of personal data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it touches the database. We don't sell data, don't run ads, and don't track your attendees across the web.
AttendPad is proudly bootstrapped and self-funded. Every feature is built because a real user needed it.

What's New
Room notes, late grace period, and richer history
Open-mode rooms can now collect a free-text notes field at check-in (e.g. "Reason for visit") with a custom label. Rooms also support an optional late grace period so arrivals within N minutes of opening aren't marked late. History Summary view shows a Sessions column and flags any unclosed check-ins that would otherwise under-count total hours.
Kiosk dark/light/auto theme, QR logos, upgrade modals
Kiosk mode now supports dark, light, and auto (system preference) themes. Pro users can embed their logo in QR codes. Upgrade prompts are now proper modals instead of text messages. Welcome email sent after sign-up.
Pro feature hardening & email audit logging
Subscription checks strengthened across kiosk modes. Email notification failures now logged to audit system for visibility.
Team multi-admin (Pro)
Pro users can invite up to 5 team members to manage their rooms and sheets. Team access is revoked instantly if the owner downgrades.
Registration mode for sheets (Pro)
Two-phase attendance: attendees register first, then confirm attendance on the day. Great for events that need headcounts in advance.
Photo verification for rooms (Pro)
Rooms can now require a camera snap on check-in for identity verification. Photos are encrypted and stored securely.
Room branding & operating schedules
Rooms now support custom logos, brand colors, and per-day operating schedules with automatic open/close enforcement.
Daily rooms feature
A new way to track daily attendance. Rooms support open mode (anyone can check in) and roster mode (pre-defined member list). Includes auto-checkout, history, and analytics.
Kiosk mode & email notifications (Pro)
Set up a tablet as a self-service check-in kiosk with optional PIN lock. Get email notifications when attendees check in.
AttendPad launch
First release with QR code check-in, real-time updates, CSV export, custom fields, and AES-256-GCM encryption for all personal data.
